This course will provide an analysis of each Domain and Standards of the Core test needed to become initially certified. An analysis of the content, format and techniques to master the Core will be used. This test prep course may include other Core areas per student need.
Prerequisites: Admission to EPP or GTCP.

EDFR 3110 Field-Based Experience I

This lab course meets the TEA 50-hour field-based experience requirement and is designed to equip teacher candidates with classroom observation/reflection experiences in the field. Assignments within the course prepare teacher candidates for certification as well as their clinical teaching experience. The course must be successfully completed prior to participation in clinical teaching. Restriction(s): Enrollment is limited to students formally admitted to the teacher preparation program. EDFR 3120 Field-Based Experience II

This lab course requires 50-hours of field-based experience and is designed to equip pre-teacher candidates with classroom observation/reflection/participation in the field. EDFR 4310 Enhanced Teacher Residency 1

Teacher Candidates will complete the first semester of Enhanced Yearlong Teacher Residency requirements as well as demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful teacher. The program works in conjunction with approved and accredited district partners. Restriction: Passing score on the core content TExES exam is required for participation in this course. EDFR 4623 Scndry Clinic Tch:Fld Res III

Students will demonstrate, in a laboratory setting, knowledge of and an ability to effectively apply those skills necessary for successful teaching in the elementary school. The teacher preparation program works in conjunction with approved and accredited area districts to obtain placements for clinical teaching. This course includes the creation and submission of a subject specific
portfolio-based assessment. Restriction(s): Passing scores on the core content TExES exams are required for participation in clinical teaching. TSI Restriction(s): Reading, Math, and Writing
